WHAT MACHINES ARE NEEDED TO PRODUCE BUTYL SPACER INSULATING GLASS, OR HOT-MELT WARM EDGE INSULATING GLASS ?

First of all, we need to know what is called butyl spacer insulating glass. This is a kind of insulating glass spacer made of corrugated aluminum strip, butyl glue, desiccant, polymer adhesive, etc. Compared with the traditional aluminum spacer, it has a lower thermal conductivity, which improves the high temperature resistance and air tightness of the insulating glass.

What Machines Are Used In Insulating Glass Manufacturing ?

1. Horizontal Glass Washing Machine

The glass washing machine can complete the cleaning and drying of flat glass at one time, with fast speed and clean washing. Imported brushes are used, which will not damage the glass surface.

2. Spacer Installation Table

This is a flipping workbench. After glass washing and drying, it is transferred to the spacer installation table with universal wheels, and the spacer is fixed to the edge of the glass with a special manual installation tool. The table is then flipped so that the first piece of glass is vertical and the second piece of glass is placed so that edges of the two pieces of glass are aligned.

3. Spacer Installation Tool

Hand-held tool specially designed for the fixing of hot melt butyl spacers.

4. Insulating Glass Heating Pressing Machine

Transfer the insulating glass to the Heating Pressing Machine, under the high temperature baking of the heating tube, the butyl glue melts, sticking the two pieces of glass together, the rolling of the roller presses the glass and the spacer together tightly, so that the insulating glass achieve maximum strength.

5. Hot Melt Glue Extruder / Two-component Sealant Coating Machine

Used for the second seal to maximize the sealing performance of insulating glass. In some countries, small size insulating glass does not require a second sealling. It depends on the customer's requirements and positioning of the product.
